James Graseck, Violin

Since graduating from the Juilliard School, James Graseck has soloed with orchestras in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia, South Carolina, and more locally, Long Island. Mr. Graseck has been a guest of the Tonight Show, Prime Time Live, The Morning Show With Regis Philbin and Good Day, New York. He can be seen in the movie One True Thing with Meryl Streep and William Hurt.

James Graseck uses an unorthodox approach and an engaging style to bring great music to his audiences. He has recorded a variety of CDs: “Many of my listeners tell me how meaningful the slow, lyrical pieces are to them. I decided to record pieces that, though of varied character and style, are particularly evocative of an exquisite, heart-felt sentiment.” Yahoo Entertainment, Reuters and the New York Times have recently featured articles about Mr. Graseck.

 

Luellen Abdoo, Violin

Luellen Abdoo received her BFA in Music Performance from SUNY Purchase where she studied violin with former New York Philharmonic Concert Master David Nadien. She then moved to New York City and began free-lancing as a violinist in the metropolitan area.

Ms. Abdoo has performed with the New York City Ballet Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Brooklyn Philharmonic and New Jersey Symphony Orchestra for many years. Her occasional endeavors in the rock music world include a CD with Aerosmith as well as live concerts with Jay and the Americans.

Luellen is active as a solo and chamber music recitalist, and has recorded a CD of classical works. She is artistic director and performer for the NYC Ballet Musicians and Friends, a chamber music series that takes place in Saratoga Springs, summer home for the world-class dance company. Luellen has also written a number of arrangements for the Synergy String Quartet.

 

Joel Rudin, Viola

Joel Rudin, a former member of the Laurentian String Quartet, has toured the United States, Canada, Asia and Algeria, and can be heard on recordings for the Musical Heritage Society, Soundspells Productions, Newport Classics, and Pierian Records. Mr. Rudin has played with the New York Philharmonic, New Jersey Symphony, American Symphony, and numerous other orchestras, as well as on Broadway.

He is Principal Viola of the Delaware Valley Philharmonic, Assistant Principal of the Colonial Symphony and a member of the Long Island Philharmonic. Mr. Rudin has been, for many seasons, a guest artist with the All Seasons Chamber Players. He also plays with The New York Five, a mixed contemporary music ensemble, whose recent CD, Choctaw Nights, can be heard on Albany Records. He is a frequent guest artist with the Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre.

 

Peter Howard, Cello

Peter Howard received his Bachelor of Music degree in cello performance from the University of Southern California and his Master for Music degree from The State University of New York at Stony Brook. His cello teachers include Janos Starker, Bernard Greenhouse, Gabor Rejto, Lynn Harrell, Robert Gardner, and George Neikrug.

Mr. Howard has been a member of the Florida, Puerto Rico, and Thunder Bay Symphonies. He participated in the Sienna, Casals, and the Aspen Music Festivals. In 1988, Peter performed with The New York City Symphony at the 1988 International Olympics in Seoul, Korea. He performed with The New York City Opera, National Company for nine years and presently plays with The Poulenc Chamber Players.

Besides being an active cellist, Mr. Howard is the founder of Peter Howard Classical Ensembles – an organization that performs at weddings, and other social events. A social highlight occurred when The Peter Howard Classical Ensemble performed at Steven Spielberg’s wedding in the Hamptons.
